DuPlessis Takes Engineer of the Year Honors
Alfred DuPlessis, Vice President of Engineering of The Omnicon Group, Inc., has been named by the IEEE Reliability Society as 2006 Engineer of the Year. This award recognizes major contributions in "reliability, modeling, reliability assessments, reliability improvement studies, and fault analyses." The award ceremony took place January 2007 in Orlando, Florida.
Among the criteria used to judge the nominees, and in which Mr. DuPlessis excelled, are: reliability technical contributions, reliability management contributions, reliability publications, contributions to reliability education, professional services to IEEE, and reliability society service.
This is the second time a Reliability Engineer within The Omnicon Group has been selected by the society for Engineer of the Year. The first occasion was in 2001, when Omnicon President and CEO Scott B. Abrams received the award for continued excellence in the area of Reliability Engineering.
