OMNICON EXPANDS OPERATIONS INTERNATIONALLY
HAUPPAUGE, NY (May 14) -- The Omnicon Group, Inc. today announced it has established
new engineering operations in Canada and throughout Europe to meet the growing
demand for international engineering services.
This expansion is a response to continuing requests from companies to develop
systems and equipment which perform more reliably and safer, with longer operating
life. Since 1984, The Omnicon Group has provided specialized engineering services,
including Reliability, Maintainability and Safety Engineering; Special Test
Equipment; and Software Development to a wide range of U.S. companies.
"The Omnicon Group has implemented a worldwide strategy to support these
critical activities," noted Scott B. Abrams, The Omnicon Group's president. "Our
expansion into the international market allows us not only to better serve current
customers with global operations, but also to offer our services to numerous
foreign companies with an increasing demand for them," he said. Abrams explained
that his company also is developing plans to open offices in Asia and Australia
in 2004 - 2005.
He added, "We project an increase in our engineering and management staff,
both domestically and internationally, to support the growing business. Companies
developing or using mission-, safety- or revenue-critical products throughout
the world would benefit greatly from The Omnicon Group's services and products."
Both the New York State Department of Economic Development and the Hauppauge
Industrial Association have been instrumental in supporting The Omnicon Group's
expansion efforts.
The Omnicon Group (www.omnicongroup.com) serves its
customers from its headquarters in New York. The company has won numerous industry
and business awards, and for three straight years was named to the Deloitte & Touché "Technology
Fast 50" list of the region's fastest growing technology companies.
