The Omnicon Group Establishes New Scholarship for Undergrads in the College Of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University.

HAUPPAUGE, NY - July 9, 2008 - The Omnicon Group donated a $50,000 gift to The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) at Stony Brook University.  The gift will fund a new scholarship that will benefit CEAS undergraduate students.

Scott Abrams, Omnicon president and Stony Brook University alumnus (class of ’80), expects the scholarship fund to assist students in achieving their academic and career goals as the College expands its impact in educating the next generation of engineers and applied scientists.”

“I’m very interested in supporting a CEAS scholarship program to attract and retain the most talented undergraduate students and prepare them for the workforce,” says Abrams. “Omnicon has had a wonderful experience in mentoring young engineers through a vibrant internship partnership established with the College. Now it’s time to go the extra mile, by supporting students earlier in the process through scholarships.”
