Omnicon President and CEO Scott B. Abrams was awarded the Entrepreneur Award by the Long Island Technology Hall of Fame (LITHF). The award was presented at LITHF’s annual gala, which was held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Garden City Hotel. Congratulations to Scott on this achievement, as his leadership and entrepreneurship has guided The Omnicon Group to the award-winning company it is today.
Scott B. Abrams was honored with the Lifetime Achievement in Reliability award on January 24, 2015 at the IEEE Reliability Society Award Banquet. Scott is being recognized for delivering innovative software tools and analysis methods used in military and space applications, consumer electronics, transportation, information technology, and medical devices, all enabling higher levels of product reliability and safety using an entrepreneurial technology-transfer approach.
Omnicon President Scott B. Abrams was honored with the Alex Gruenwald Award from the IEEE Reliability Society. The award recognizes Scott for encouraging young people to pursue engineering and his exemplary leadership and technical contributions to reliability engineering.
Lloyd Blueweiss, Senior Systems/Software Engineer, was presented with the 2011 IEEE Region 1 Award on March 29, 2012 for his engineering achievements. Blueweiss was nominated by colleagues from the IEEE and was recommended by the Awards and Recognition committee. The award gives recognition for major contributions to the “Development of Innovative RADAR Analysis and Accurate Evaluations of RADAR Performance.”
The Omnicon Group’s Nathaniel Ozarin, Senior Reliability/Safety Engineer and Brian Kain, Project Leader receive the prestigious award for Overall Best Paper from Industry. The paper entitled “Improving System Heath Monitoring with Better Error Processing” was presented in June at the 2011 IEEE International Conference on Prognostics and Health Management in Denver, Colorado.
The Long Island Technology Hall of Fame (LITHF) selected Scott B. Abrams, President and CEO of The Omnicon Group for the Next Generation Entrepreneur Award. This award recognizes major contributions and achievements to “scientific research and technological advancement on Long Island and will seed the future for economic growth and development.” The prestigious award was presented at the LITHF induction and awards ceremony at the Garden City Hotel on Wednesday, March 2, 2011.
Omnicon Vice President, Alfred DuPlessis receives 2010 IEEE Region 1 Award on March 31, 2010 for his achievements in reliability engineering. DuPlessis was nominated by colleagues from the IEEE and was recommended by the Awards and Recognition committee. The award recognizes and honors DuPlessis for Managerial Excellence in Leadership, Design, and Development.
